Manufacture

Sperrin Metal operates from a 150,000 sq ft facility in Draperstown, Northern Ireland (at the base of the Sperrin Mountains). All our racking, shelving, mezzanines, lockers and cupboards are manufactured in theses premises. This is facilitated with specialist machinery including a Salvagini Panel bender, various presses, rollformers, automatic and manual welders and a modern powder coating plant that recycles as much paint powder as possible.

The factory operates using the latest manufacturing techniques and practice. The Production Director is heavily involved and oversees each week's production to ensure that the product is made when it is supposed to be and to the specification required. He liaises closely with the sales team to identify special requirements and to ensure customer expectations are understood and complied with. Each week there are regular meetings with the production, transport and installation managers to ensure that whatever the product, the expectation is met and that any problems are quickly identified and dealt with appropriately.
