Retail Giant Primark/Penneys Opens Largest Warehouse in Ireland

Following on from our tender win in January this year to supply stockroom racking for the award winning company Primark/Penneys, we have just completed the fit out of their largest distribution warehouse in Ireland.

Primark is a retail group in the value sector and operates stores throughout Ireland, UK and Europe.  The premises in Tougher Business Park in Naas are its largest distribution warehouse in Ireland, housing stock for all 173 stores in Ireland.  The project consisted of two phases creating an overall capacity of 40,000 pallet spaces with a frame height of 14500mm in some areas.  This large scale project required precision planning as installation had to coincide with the sprinkler system installation and all works had to be completed within a 4 week timescale.  Sperrin Metals crews worked long hours to ensure the goal was achieved of completing this complex installation within the time-frame.

Overall the project was a huge success.
