
Sperrin Metal have recently completed a Longspan storage system for the world famous Beamish Museum in Co Durham.
Beamish museum tells the story of the people of North East England during the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods.
With a rise in donated artefacts, the museum developed a storage problem and required a solution. Sperrins Longspan shelving was the ideal system to fulfil their requirements. Incorporated into a mobile base system, the maximum storage capacity was achieved. The system was designed to be bays 2.5 metres & 3.0 metres wide by 5.5 metres high.
The system has been designed and installed to accommodate many various items from old TV’s to small coal samples.
